Celebrating Women in Film with The Kit & Longines

This year at the Toronto International Film Festival, Melanie Lyne was proud to join fashion and beauty publication The Kit and luxury watchmaker Longines in co-hosting the “Time to Watch Us Fly” luncheon, honouring women making their mark across film and television.

On behalf of Melanie Lyne, The Kit’s Editor-in-Chief, Laura deCarufel, presented Nadine Bhabha with the New Gen Actress Award and Nyla Innuksuk with the New Gen Filmmaker Award, recognizing two distinct voices and creative perspectives helping shape the future of Canadian storytelling.

A celebration of talent, creativity and women championing women, the event reflected our shared commitment to giving remarkable Canadian voices the recognition — and the spotlight — they rightfully deserve.
