THE INSIDE SCOOP ON

TIFF 2025 with
Natasha Koifman

As the Melanie Lyne team gets ready to take part in the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the third year in a row, we caught up with our TIFF veteran and insider, PR expert, Natasha Koifman.

Recognized as one of Canada's most powerful and innovative women in public relations, Natasha is the President and Founder of NKPR. Each year, she hosts TIFF’s iconic IT House, an exclusive event in partnership with People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and Shutterstock, that welcomes celebrities, creators and industry VIPs to gather, connect and celebrate creativity—and experience our latest collections.

Here’s her inside scoop on everything film and fashion.

What is your favourite part of TIFF?

TIFF is such a magical time in the city. I love the energy it brings, the red carpets, the films and the way Toronto truly comes alive. There’s such a sense of celebration everywhere you go.

What can we expect to see you
wearing throughout the festival?

I’ve always believed that a great suit is the ultimate statement. The right blazer instantly takes you from day to night, and when it’s beautifully tailored, it gives you that confidence you need no matter where the evening leads.

Could you give us an insider tip on the best way to experience TIFF?

Bloor-Yorkville is always a great neighbourhood for celebrity spotting during the festival. The Ritz Carlton, Adrak and The Chase are perfect for dinner or cocktails, and they put you right in the middle of the festival’s incredible energy.

What film are you most excited
about seeing this year?

I’m really looking forward to the Opening Night Film, John Candy: I Like Me. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate such an iconic Canadian talent.

What’s your one fashion rule?

Fit is everything. When something is tailored beautifully, you feel unstoppable. I tend to gravitate toward black, it’s timeless, chic and always makes a statement. #NKAllBlackEverything
