The Fall Trend Report, Part One
Expert stylist, Sabrina Misquita, is quite familiar with the season’s leading trends. Here, she shares her top 5 and touches on some of her favourite styles from our Fall 2024 collections.
“Fashion is about weaving magic into the mundane. Dressing for the occasion makes it feel significant, even if it’s not really.”

01. Menswear-Inspired Pieces
“Anything a man can wear; a woman can wear better,” Misquita puts simply. “We’re seeing the influence of traditional menswear dominating the women’s fashion landscape, and with good reason, too. Nothing beats a crisp white shirt and a good power suit.”
02. Cropped Jackets
“Higher waistlines mean tucked-in tops and shorter jackets,” Misquita points out. “And I’m here for it. A good play on proportions can really make an outfit.” She adds: “The Prince de Galles plaid is my personal favourite. On-trend with all the makings of a forever piece.”

03. Mesh
“Mesh is one of the biggest trends we’re seeing for fall, and winter too. From going-out tops to unique dresses, I’m loving the prints, ruching and sheer detailing — it’s all so flattering. There’s an unmistakable allure to it and a confidence that comes with wearing it as well.”

04. Embellished Denim
“Denim’s as popular as ever, but its fall iterations have something different to offer. Consider darker washes and new takes on shine with tonal rhinestones and silver foil,” Misquita advises. “These wide and straight-leg fits offer unique appeal without sacrificing longevity.”

05. Long Skirts
“Skirts are as much of a fall staple as they are a summer one. Between the suede and denim styles we’re seeing, one thing’s for sure: longer silhouettes are making a statement this season. Just set aside your sandals, slip on your favourite knee-high boots, and voilà.”
